My dad’s battle with cancer is over, he passed away peacefully at St Luke’s Hospice at about 10am yesterday. I’m glad that his suffering is now over, it wasn’t easy in the last weeks, neither for dad, or the family, especially for my step-mum, Carol. Watching a loved one die from cancer is like watching a slow-motion video of them being eaten alive my an invisible monster, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I must say that I was absolutely balled over by the fantastic service provided by St Luke’s, the staff always seemed to be giving 120%, always friendly, cheerful and totally professional.
